TOO MANY GARNISHES

Hey guys, hope you had an awesome thanksgiving! This was my actual first time spending my thanksgiving in real traditional way, so I really enjoyed every minutes of it. Very cozy feeling..
kinda missed that since I'm living by myself and have no family here in the city. Now, I'm readjusting myself to the reality again.
Yesterday, I met my friend and listened to one korean singer's songs. Everything about him was really straight forward and honest, no embellishing whatsoever.. I think I really need that attitude in this point. I always think of clever ways to make my works look fancy. But the fact is, just salt and pepper make everything simply good...

FIRST TIME IN GUGGENHEIM

Went to Guggenheim yesterday for the first time. It was packed with people like me who wanted to save entrance fee.  The whole concept of the exhibition was how all the artists in Nazi and Mussolini period had to stick with classical way of painting but still add a modern twist toward it. In couple of Chirico's works, he altered art deco kind of theme more into his style, using bolder brush strokes and abstract approach; it was really eye-catching. Sorry, no picture for that because of too many security guards behind me. Go check it out!

KAFFNY NIGHT

Tae's interview..
On friday, there was a Korean American Film Festival around K-town, and I was invited as a one of the artists to showcase my works on this project. KAFFNY offers opportunities to Korean Americans and Korean film makers to show their works and reach audiences. I actually shot the interview with them and it was played that night. Unfortunately, there's no picture of me on that huge screen because I was hiding under my scarf the whole time.
Though, I enjoyed watching all this interesting short films and meeting new Korean artists.

oh, I made the illustration and type for the event. sweet..

RENEWING TIME

I think it's time for me to flush down the old 'me' and start over again. I just finished changed the whole look of my website, and as a second move I'm gonna start blogging. Writing is definitely not my thing, since I'm always self-conscious about what I say. But I realize it's better to write down the things that i go through now for later. I want to embrace the time I'm spending with the people I love, and also all the mixed feelings I'm facing now in my 20's.

Maybe, You'll see some dirty side of me, and Hope you don't hate me because of that.
